The Story behind Lifespan Pet Nutrition
A Lifelong Passion for Dogs
At Lifespan, dogs have always been at the centre of everything we do.
As a lifelong dog owner, I personally have spent years living and working alongside dogs of all breeds, personalities and life stages.
From growing up with Cairn Terriers to sharing life with my own Collies and on to working professionally with dogs, my passion for canine wellbeing has always been driven by practical experience rather than marketing trends.
ANDY’S STORY
For over ten years I managed a busy dog daycare and kennels environment, caring for dogs of all shapes, sizes and temperaments every single day. During that time, I saw first-hand the difference nutrition could make to a dog’s health, vitality, digestion, mobility and overall wellbeing.I regularly encountered common issues including:
- skin sensitivities and itching
- eye discharge
- digestive upset
- poor weight control
- obesity-related joint problems
- poor coat condition
- low energy levels
- food intolerances
Over time, it became increasingly clear to me that nutrition plays a vital role in supporting a healthier, happier and more active life for dogs.
The Lifespan Journey
In 2010 I started importing a major European brand that I was familiar with from my travels. Although successful, a desire to give my customers an even better food, with less food miles, Lifespan was born.
Made in the UK with as many British ingredients as possible – salmon, lamb, turkeyn chicken, it’s all British.
Today, Lifespan offers a carefully curated range of grain free and functional nutrition recipes designed to support dogs through every stage of life — from growing puppies to senior companions, alongside targeted Peptide+ support for digestion, skin health, mobility, dental care and overall wellbeing.
Our Philosophy
In our experience, many dogs may survive to a reasonable age on poor quality nutrition — much like some people can live for years on an unhealthy diet.

At Lifespan we believe dogs deserve more than simply getting by. They deserve a life filled with vitality, comfort and enjoyment — not one affected by ongoing digestive issues, itchy skin, poor mobility or chronic discomfort.
Good nutrition cannot solve every problem, but we believe it can play a vital role in supporting healthier, happier and more active lives.
